The kiddos are VERY excited to read to you tonight! This is supposed to be a special time for you and your child. If it becomes stressful, please let me know and we will work together to find a solution!
You might notice that your kiddo flies through the book that they bring home tonight. Please know that we will work up to more difficult books. Even the best readers in this class have had difficulty with short vowels so I might just be sending the book home to practice their short vowel sounds. Or I might just send a book home that has a specific sight word in it that they need practice with. The more times they read the book, the better reader they will become.
I've had such a great two weeks getting to know your kiddos! Thanks for letting me be a part of their lives! :)
